Before launch, the ozonesonde is sealed inside a weatherproof polystyrene box. A radiosonde is then attached to the outside of the box.



Anne and Jürgen attaching the rubber balloon to the helium tanks.



The balloon is filled until the attached weight begins to rise.



A small parachute and payout reel are attached to the ozonesonde box.



Ozonesonde + payout reel + parachute + balloon = Ready for launch!!
